Luke 1:1

The Word of God: In the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Bible. From cover to cover, the Bible is the unfailing, unchanging Word of God, written by men through the power of the Holy Spirit of God and carefully preserved by God down through the centuries to our present day. The apostle Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God...; the apostle Peter says in 2 Peter 1:21: Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit; and the Lord Jesus Christ Himself declared, Heaven and earth shall pass away but my word shall not pass away. (Matthew 11:35)

The Eternal Son: The Lord Jesus Christ is and ever was the only begotten, eternal Son of God the Father. He came down from heaven to be miraculously born by the power of the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. Completely pure and holy at His birth, our Lord likewise lived a sinless life thereafter of perfection and beauty. The Bible records that He knew no sin (2 Corinthians 5:21); He did no sin (1 Peter 2:22); and In him is no sin (1 John 3:5); and that His purpose in coming was not to condemn the world , but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

The Ruin of Man: Mankind, ruined by the fall of Adam in Eden, is universally and utterly sinful by nature. It is impossible for us to be saved by our own works or religious observances. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5) We are entirely unfit for the presence of God in our natural state, and must be born again before we can enter into the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3;
1 Peter 1:23)

The Finished Work: On the cross at Calvary, Christ fully and eternally paid the penalty of sin and completed the work of redemption. God attested to this fact by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His own right hand in heaven (1 Corinthians 15:17-20; Romans 4:25; Acts 2:32). Accepting Him by faith, the sinner is saved, born again, and his sins are all forgiven through the merit of the precious blood of Christ shed on the cross.

The Reality of Eternity:
All who die having had a moment of salvation in this life will go to be with Christ in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:6-8), but all who reject the provision of God through the sacrifice of His Son for our sins at Calvary will go out at the end of life into an endless eternity with no hope and without a Savior. There they will suffer the consequences of sin forever in a place described by the Lord Jesus Himself as hell a place of torment and darkness (Luke 16:23; Jude v. 13). For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36).

The Truth of Baptism: All true Christian believers should be baptized by immersion in obedience to the will of God and be received into the fellowship of a local assembly of believers according to scriptural requirements. There they will take part in all the spiritual privileges and responsibilities connected with such fellowship, not the least of which is the observance of the Lord’s supper carried out on a Sunday morning (Lord’s Day) as a remembrance of the death of Christ by the partaking of the bread and wine (Matt 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 2:41:42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
